RIVELCO AGRIFOODS COMMUNITY IMPACT
Rivelco agrifoods ideology is imbued with a strong sense of CSR and community development in the surrounding area. RAL has been supplying fresh and certified pure drinking water to the neighbors and village dwellers around it’s production premises ever since it’s inception. School children, housewives, families-they have and continue to benefit from the service. They do not need to trek long distances in search of this precious commodity. Also, it gives us great satisfaction in the fact that they are now safe from water borne diseases from consumption of river water etc.
RAL is one of the largest employers in the area and believes in gender equality and women empowerment. The work force comprises equal numbers of men and women. This employment has benefited and motivated our employees towards better parenting, enabling schooling for children, improved living conditions and in quite a few cases, even provided the wherewithal to start small enterprises, trading etc.
We feed many families quarterly, focusing on those with disabled or elderly members, orphans and single mothers.
We also provide our staff with free organic fertilizer, this enables them to produce their own vegetables/food in their homes, therefore saving cost. They have said that this saving enables them to provide more for their school going children.
